The leadership and governance of the Uganda Muslim Medical Bureau structure consists of the Bureau General Assembly as the supreme authority, composed of all registered member health units. The Uganda Muslim Medical Bureau (UMMB) Board is the executing arm of the General Assembly. The UMMB Board is appointed by the Secretary General UMSC subject to approval by the Bureau General Assembly at the Annual general meeting. The UMMB Board has a number of committees that assist it to fulfill its roles and responsibilities, including the Policy and Advocacy committee, Finance and Planning committee, the advisory technical committee and the secretariat committee. The Executive Secretary is the Chief Executive Officer of the Bureau, accountable to the Board.
